Yes, another pumpkin recipe!
Sometimes it’s the simplest things in life that are the best.
I am not a big baker. I have done my fair share of baking, yes, but often it is with the intent of sharing my baked goods with others. Some friends have called me a “mother hen” for this need to take care of others. I am not offended by that. My mother would call this need to show my love through food my “love language”, and yes, I suppose it is.
This time of year in particular, I like to bake things, but I don’t end up eating much of them. I just don’t snack a whole lot. That’s where my significant other, my friends, my family, and my co-workers will easily benefit from my hobby.
Baking is therapeutic. I just enjoy doing it. And I enjoy seeing the content looks on the faces of my loved ones as they enjoy the fruits, er, baked goods of my labor.
This is one of those, seen-it-on-the-internet-and-decided-to-wing-it kind of recipes. Greg was feeling down, and he loves baked goods, so I decided this would be a good way to cheer him up. Plus, who doesn’t love all the pumpkin-y flavored things that come out this time of year???
I took the rest of the brownies to work and my co-workers gobbled them up. I think I might have to make this again and take them some more!

So for this recipe?
All you need is a box of brownie mix and a can of pumpkin. (I got my products from Trader Joe’s… shocker, huh?)
However, chocolate chips are optional if you so choose, which I did in this case…
Mix together. Transfer mix into a 9 x 11 x 13″ baking dish. Put in the oven at 350 degrees for about 25 – 30 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
Serve. Love. Enjoy.
