Keep Your Dog Safe This Thanksgiving

As anyone who knows me even the teeniest bit knows all too well, I love dogs.

I LOVE them. All of them. I am That Girl who stops in public to pet strangers’ dogs, or stops my car if I see a dog wandering down the street. Seriously, I have done that… and it was worth it, those dogs belonged to someone and their owner wasn’t even aware that they had gotten out of the back yard!

Anyone who loves their pets like I do also loves spoiling them, with table scraps and whatnot. This time of year there are a lot of extra occasions and extra people that dogs can benefit from. However, those of us who want to spoil our beloved babies with extra treats need to know what’s good for them and what’s bad for them.

I saw the below photo on Facebook and wanted to share it with my dog-loving readers! Please pass it on to your friends!

And, have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for all of you who read and encourage me to keep posting! I am so happy to be back in the swing of things! :)

  1. Thanks for sharing this Emily. I am a dog obsessed freak myself. I would gladly turn our house into a crazy dog rescue if my husband would go for it. I totally get your love of those wonderful beings. My Golden, Sadie, is one of the loves of my life for sure. I have also stopped many a time to return lost dogs and pet random dogs in public. We are kindered spirits.

    • I think we are kindred spirits too, Geni! My babies are definitely the loves of my life. I had to put one to sleep a couple of years ago and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Rescuing Theo was so rewarding because he helped heal that wound and brings so much love and happiness back into my life! And he’s been so good for Libby who missed her other brother… :)

And I would totally have a house full of rescues if I could get away with it!
