My blog just recently had its 4th anniversary! Thank you so much to those of you who have followed along this journey!
As I mentioned in my previous post about making some healthier choices, I mentioned that my parents got us a NutriBullet for Christmas. And Greg and I have been making fast work of it. We’ve been making smoothies several times a week packed with all kinds of healthy goodness. We don’t have one basic recipe but we’ve learned that there’s really no bad combination. Along with the fruits, he likes to put spinach in his for the greens, I put kale in mine. We’ve also incorporated almonds on a couple of occasions. The yogurt that we use is vanilla yogurt for a touch of added flavor.
Some of the combinations we’ve used:
- Banana, strawberries, cutie oranges, milk, yogurt
- Banana, strawberries, blueberries, kale or spinach, grape juice, yogurt
- Banana, strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, kale or spinach, apple juice, yogurt
- And many, many variations of the same…
I will be posting recipes for different types of smoothies as I try them. But these combinations for daily smoothies work well.
And here is a list of smoothie recipes I’d posted a few years ago… I would say that it is time to revisit them! :)
